MUMBAI — Anita Horam is a producer, writer, director, and creative consultant for television. After stints at The Times of India, Channel V, MTV, and UTV she founded VIA EARTH – a boutique facility specializing in non-fiction content for television with a special focus on lifestyle and leisure-related genres. Its repertoire concentrates on long format shows featuring an award-winning catalog of content — both commissioned and original for syndication — for major global networks including the BBC, CNN International, The Discovery Networks, Fox, The Living Channel, Travel & Living, TVNZ, Star, Zee, NDTV, among others.

She is now taking her expertise in high-concept content into the rapidly evolving world of digital content with MO:HAWK — a company that will focus on the production, acquisition and distribution of a catalog of products featuring contemporary Indian pop culture for all new media platforms.

Following her personal passion for travel, wellness, fitness, food and drink, and leisure she has just launched VIA EARTH LIFESTYLE featuring branded services including The Mighty Muse, Luxsha, and The India Luxury Circle – positioned as services that will curate and execute high end, lifestyle, and leisure experiences globally.

And later this year Ms. Horam will launch stART&D — a project to promote emerging art and design, produce signature concepts that explore the grey area between those disciplines, and present them in a whole new way outside of traditional venues of exhibition.

She provides consulting in the TV space, which has included serving as creative head for Fashion TV strategizing their on-air content, as well as brand-building and off-air extensions; programing and design template consulting head for Network 18’s education channel for DTH TOPPER; and creative and strategy pre-launch for B.A.G films broadcast venture E 24, to name a few.

She also co-owns PLANB films, CREWCUT, and Via EARTH SPIN that focus more on one-off events, packaging, and design.
