WASHINGTON, D.C. — Iñigo Guevara has deep experience as a government official, policy expert and consultant in the areas of Mexican national security and law enforcement. During the administration of Mexican President Felipe Calderon, he served as an adviser on infrastructure, technology and equipment issues for national security forces to the Mexican National Security Council. Earlier, he served in a state-level law enforcement agency in Mexico.

Mr. Guevara is frequently called on for media interviews and to brief analysts, practitioners, and decision makers in the U.S. and Mexican governments, as well as private industry. A senior consultant and columnist at IHS Jane’s, he is widely published, including a recent analysis of transnational criminal networks and a forthcoming work on U.S.-Mexico military relations. Guevara holds an MA in Security Studies from Georgetown University and is a graduate of the Center for Hemispheric Defense Studies at NDU.
