Pamela K. Starr is Director of the US-Mexico Network @ USC, as well as an associate professor of public diplomacy and international relations. Prior to USC, she was the senior analyst for Mexico at Eurasia Group, a leading political risk and advisory firm. She was a professor of Latin American political economy for eight years at the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México (ITAM), a private university in Mexico City.

Dr Starr is a widely published author on Mexico and Latin America, with chapters and articles in The Oxford Handbook of Mexican Politics, Foreign Affairs, and Current History, as well as monographs published by the Pacific Council and the Council on Foreign Relations.

She has advised the US Secretary of State, the US Ambassador to Mexico and other high-level officials from the Mexican and the US executive branches, as well as US mayors and members of Congress, and the staff of the Foreign Affairs Committees of the US and Mexican Senates. She has also worked as a consultant to investment banks and securities firms.

She received her PhD from the University of Southern California.
